ORB RESEARCH>

THIS IS AN ONGOING EXPERIMENT, INFORMATION RELATED TO THESE TESTS WILL BE ADDED AS IT BECOMES AVAILABLE

Most ghost orb photos are easily explained as flash reflections from dust, insects and shiny objects, high dew points and humidity can also cause orb like images on film along with several other causes. However not all orb photos can be explained as easily, over the next 6 months we will take a closer look into the orb phenomena by looking into explainable orb photos and looking for similarities in unexplainable orb photos.

For our first experiment we will photograph a variety of objects that may create orbs in photographs. The first test shots will be of insects ranging in size. The second test will be photographs of varies types of dust, we will create the dust using paper, silver confetti, and household dust. And the third test will be photographs of balls, for this test we will use a marble, golf ball, baseball, soccer ball, and a basketball.

These tests are designed to give us an idea of what these objects look like when photographed and how the flash reflects off of them. These tests will be performed in a controlled environment. Equipment that will be used is a Minolta x 700 35 mm camera mounted on a tripod, Fuji 400 I.S.O color film and a Vivitar auto thyristor 550 FD flash mounted to the top of the Minolta camera.
